I hand-type every single word here. I never use AI to compose writing.

If I have some intellectual deficit — a lack of knowledge or understanding, confusion on a topic, insufficiently elegant style, or an ant farm of typos — I’d rather that be reflected in the article as an honest representation of my mind and its contents. In my view, too many nonfiction writers now use AI to fill the gaps — ones which would be embarrassingly large were we to interrogate the writer in person. If your argument pops like a water balloon after only a few minutes of Socratic dialogue, perhaps you don’t really understand the topic. 🤷
